Case Study
The CPDregister.net website was developed by myself and a good friend for the Institute of Domestic Energy Assessors. The idea of the website is to give Energy Assessors an online platform to log onto, upload evidence of Continued Professional Development and keep a full online record of achievements.
The website proved to be a large success from the start and still is to date. It has over 1000 members and has proven to be a fantastic, secure way for clients to prove their work to their Accreditation Companies.
The website itself is built using the Grails framework. (Groovy on Rails). This is a language closely derived from JAVA. It is a VERY complex language and I could not have done it without the help of my associate. I am currently learning Grails and Java and continue in my own time to try and master them.
The design for this website follows the branding of the Institute of Domestic Energy Assessors as the website is owned by said company and it was specifically requested by their Chief Exec.
I hope to create more websites in the future on this Framework.
