  Jameson Smith & Co.

  Jameson Smith & Co. are a national corporate debt solutions company operating from the UK. I was approached by the Chief Exec and asked to make a website to his exact specifications.

  Case Study

  I created JS & Co’s website using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Flash and JQuery. This website is a good demonstration of my skill as it uses complex languages and dynamic database connections.

  I was asked to create the layout of the website exactly to the specifications of the Chief Exec of the company.  It started off as him sending me a very basic PowerPoint slide with the layout on, which I interpreted into a graphic layout to demonstrate my ideas.

  After some close communications between me and the company owner, I managed to get the layout to the specification he gave.

  Originally, I used a graphic for the company logo at the top-left hand of the page.  I was asked whether I could create a Flash logo for them.  I assured them that this was not a problem as I am fluent in Flash.  He only wanted basic animation in the logo to keep it simple.

  Also there were originally, 4 navigation boxes in the page centre.  I was requested to add another box in to house a “Contact” link.  I did this to his specifications.  Also, the images used on the website were selected between the two of us to ensure a very unique feel for the website.

  I used my imagination to think up a nice layout for a Frequently Asked Questions page.  I used a JQuery on this page to keep the layout clean, tidy and aesthetically pleasing.  PHP and MySQL are used to store articles, Administrator data, website tools and configuration.  Access will be granted to the website owner and anyone they request added on.

  Overall, I am very happy with this design as the layout is nice and simple, yet impressive, the coding is compliant and clean and it runs on a modded Content Management System written by myself and a friend.  This was also a request from the client.

  I have been informed that Jameson Smith & Co. are extremely happy with their website and would recommend my skills to anyone.
