Case Study
I created UK Sports Forum.eu as a personal project as I had some free time and wanted to use my previous experience of community management to start a community of my own, relevant to my interests.
UK sports Forum is a website that runs using automatically-updated RSS news feeds on each of the pages bringing in all of the latest news from different sporting sources.
As it is automatically updating, the main website is fully self-sufficient. Alongside the main news website, it has a fully functioning community forum system running on Jelsoft VBulletin software that I have multiple licenses for. At it’s peak, this website had well over 500 members but I had to discontinue the website due to lack of time to maintain the forums.
After sometime, I decided to re-launch the website. The forum now only has roughly 60 registered members and has never been as busy as it used to be. This website idea is a good one as it is fully advertisement ready and the community forums could bring in membership subscriptions making money alongside the advertising revenue.
It is a shame I do not have time to look after this project anymore, but it is still a nicely designed, dynamic website showcasing more of my design ability.
The website is also very well Search Engine Optimised.
